Fishing lures are objects attached to the end of a fishing line. It is designed to imitate a fish prey. They are equipped with single, double or triple hooks. These are used to lure the fish to bite the hook. They are used usually on a rod and reel. If it is used for casting then it can either be cast or sometimes retrieved.

Fishing lures are placed at the end of the fishing line. They should be tightly connected so that they do not fall when it is cast in the water. There are different kinds of fishing lures for different kinds of fishing.

Fishing lures are quality food. Thus when less money is spent on them they result in a disappointing catch. For them to look exactly like a real prey to the fish their quality must not be sacrificed over cost. If one stints on the type of fishing lures bought then their performance cannot be expected to work at its best.

Fishing lures are of modern and traditional types. Modern fishing lures are designed to look slick and are replicas of live bait. The traditional ones do not have such realistic looks and hardly attract fish instantly.

The kind of fishing lures to be used depends on the place and the kind of fish to be caught and the fishing pole being used.

• Fly fishing lures are a bit different from the regular ones. These will either float in the water or they may sink in a floating like manner. They appear like insects and are designed to resemble floating insects.
• Angling is the kind which most people love. This is actually a brain game between the fish and his captivator.

Look alive fishing lures are very hard to find.  The fact that the more the fishing lures look like live bait the more the catch results. These fishing lures are very effective in catching good fish at the end of the day. Using below par lures will only spoil the sport and will give the feeling of walking on a hamster wheel.

If a quality fish like a salmon is the target then the fishing lures being used must be the best ones available. In this case the lure is placed at the end of the fishing line. Poorly placed  lures will not give you a good catch as you might drop it while lowering it in the water costing you money without use.

Fishing lures have to be bought depending on the kind of water. That is if it is a lake then it has to give the look of a fly. The lure attached to the hook needs to match the environment the fish is accustomed to. If you use something it has never seen before then a good catch is hardly possible at the end of the day.
